What is stomatotoxicity?

Post by Stephykia »

I have read an article called: Mucositis as a biological process: a new hypothesis for the development of chemotherapy-induced stomatotoxicity, however, I do not know what muscositis or stomatotoxicity is. Any help?

Hi,

That was tricky to answer, but here is what I found for you:

stomatotoxicity: refer to treatments
that have the potential to damage the mucous membranes

mucositis is inflammation of the mucosal lining.
I hope that helps but let me know if you need more help :)
