We have a cool science project that involves bacteria which needs to be studied inside a lab. Our idea was that we would test the antibacterial effects of mushrooms. The problem is that in science project rules, all potentialy hazardous organisms must be studied inside a lab. We have no access to a lab, so we are wondering if anyone in maryland that could let us use their lab or that could tell us another way to use a lab.(We're not allowed to use our school lab)
Thank you
Does anyone have a lab we can use?

Hi patriotman,
Finding a lab has also been the hardest part for starting my science project too!
What you need to do is look at all the local universities in your area. Find out all the professors and research scientists doing work or teaching material similar to what you want to accomplish in your project.
Once you've created that list, e-mail or call them. Write what grade you are in, what school you are from, information on your project, and then ask them if you would be able to use their lab for your experiment.
Sometimes they won't reply, but you really need to be persistent.
Hope this helps!
