Project Question: Hello, I went to a Materials Engineering Camp. One topic was MBE, or Molecular Beam Epitaxy. I was very interested in the topic. I have thought about trying to find a trend (similar to periodic table trends) for certain metals placed onto the substrate together for a science fair project. My mom thinks this sounds like 'rearranging the periodic table,' but isnt it more like proving the table as a model? Any insight or ideas would help. A link about MBE:

I have thought about looking and analyzing metallic behavior and finding a trend among the periodic table for that. Is that even possible?

Good luck with what sounds like a promising area for a good project!
