Creating my own Biodiesel?

Post by JeremyJong »

Hi,
This year, I decided on a general topic on biofuel efficiency. I'm planning on making my own biofuel, out of algae, and comparing that to diesel. My question is, how will I be able to test their efficiency? I read online that there are pH and visual tests to confirm that I actually made a biofuel, but how can I compare the the two? Besides putting it in a car.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

I think the information in this Science Buddies project will help you a lot: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p030.shtml

Please post again (in this same thread) if you have more questions.

Best,
Heather
