BLAST and Flu Viruses

Can anyone help me understanding what BLAST does and how to get it. Do you just use it online or do you download it. So far i can only find it on line. Has anyone used it or know about it?

Hi there,

Here are a couple of links to introduce you to the BLAST tool. You can use it online. There are a variety of searches you can perform using BLAST depending on what you trying to do.

Have a look at the tutorial (link above) and let us know if you have any questions. Also, if you could give us a few more details about your project maybe we could make some further suggestions with regards to which BLAST tools will be most helpful for you.
