Hi,
Having a mentor help with a science project is a great idea. Often a teacher at your school or a local college or university is a good choice. The project you are doing should align well with that teacher's experience so they can help you well. Another place to find a mentor is the scientists that work nearby in companies in your town.
Remember to be safe and always have an adult help pick an appropriate person to help you. Good luck!
