Science Project Title
I need a good science project title. I am comparing the effects of the viscosity of a fluid in a hydraulic crane to see the amount of mass the crane can lift. I need a title as soon as possible. Thank you!

Grade and edit hypothesis
Can you see if this hypothesis is good. Science wise. Thank you.
When I decrease the viscosity of the fluid, the amount that the crane can lift will increase because if the fluid in the piston is slow and gooey, when the piston increases its pressure on the fluid, it will not transfer the force of the pressure through as well and does not make the piston move with as much force. It would also take more force to move the liquid through the piston, moving the other end of the piston less.

Welcome to Ask an Expert! It sounds like you are working on an interesting project. A title should describe what your project is about. Some people like clever titles with word-play or puns; personally I like descriptive titles better. How about something like "How does fluid viscosity affect how much mass a crane can lift?".

You seem to have a good start with your project by focusing on one independent variable (viscosity) and one dependent variable (weight that can be lifted). I also like the first part of your hypothesis, which describes how the changes in the independent variable will affect the dependent variable.
In the second part, you talked about your rationale. It is not necessary to include a rationale as part of your hypothesis, unless your teacher specifically instructs you to. The hypothesis should be as specific and clear as possible. For example, the wording of "slow and gooey" are vague and could mean different things to different people. Try to rewrite this part if you need to include the rationale in your hypothesis.
