i have a project to complete in two weeks.... the topic is astronomy...i need to make a working model...i chose the topic as black holes..any ideas..??? related or unrelated to black holes..?? please help!!! quick!!!!

Hi Yojan,

Making a working model of a black hole sounds like quite the task. I suggest making a model of a different astronomical topic. How about making a simple orrery of the Earth-moon-Sun system? An orrery is a mechanical model of the motion of celestial objects (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orrery for a more detailed description).I haven't tried making an orrery myself, but I a Google search for "make a earth moon sun orrery" yields several ideas. You're not looking to make a complicated brass one. Given the time constraints, I'm envisioning something more like this one:

thanks a lot for the idea..its really quite innovative but sadly the submission date of the project got over the very day you posted this....
but i will definately use this elsewhere...
