Scientific Method

Hi, this might seem like a silly question, but is the scientific method considered a proper noun (i.e. scientific method vs Scientific Method)?

HI candy4me,

Even though I'm not an expert, I can tell you that the scientific method isn't considered a proper noun, but rather a common noun. Aside from titles, all occurrences of the words "scientific method" that I have found are in lowercase, without capitalizing the first letter like proper nouns. Hope this helps and good luck on your project!

Best Wishes,
