Density and Liquid Freezing Temperature

On the web I couldn't find any reliable websites for my question. :cry: So, I decided to come here. Anyway, here's my question (it's for the Research part of my project): Does the density of a liquid affect the temperature at which it freezes? I just need a pretty general answer with a brief explanation. I'm in 8th Grade by the way. I hope someone answers this soon! :D

Hi I_need_an_answer,

Liquids of different densities can definitely have different freezing temperatures, but the difference in density, itself, is not the reason why. Differences in freezing point arise, in part, because of differing strengths of ionic and molecular interactions in a different liquids.
