Cosmetic Ideas!
I was wondering if anyone had any science fair project ideas that had to do with makeup/cosmetics?

I don't know much about cosmetics, but here's some ideas that come to mind:
-- What does "hypoallergenic" really mean and how do they make something "hypoallergenic"?
-- I've heard a lot about animal rights groups making issues of testing cosmetics on animals. Are the claims true, and if so, what is the testing and is it justified?
-- Just what is lipstick (or whatever) really made out of?
-- Test the claims of various skin care products, such as those that will make your skin "younger" in just 30 days. How can you test such a claim, and do they really stand up to the test?
-- Compare the ingredients of the cheapest of one type of makeup and then the most expensive. Are they actually different? If so, what do the extra chemicals in them actually do?
-- Does makeup really make one prettier? One way to test this might be to get pictures of people with and without makeup and then have people rate how pretty they are. Or maybe pictures with only one type of makeup at a time (just lipstick, just eye liner, etc.).
