Research papers on turtle vision

Post by donnahardy2 »

Hi Fishman,

Here are some suggestions for finding articles on turtle vision.

Go to your local library and ask the librarian for assistance. Finding information about specialized topics is usually done by a literature search and a local librarian might be able to help you. If you had access to a University library, that would be even better.

This subject is out of my area of expertise, but I remember talking to someone (I can't remember the name) several years ago from University of Hawaii who was doing research on turtles. There probably aren't that many institutions with turtle research centers, so you can try contacting the University of Hawaii and ask for a referral to whoever is doing turtle research. Here is a paper I found on the website that might be helpful in finding information. In my experience in helping kids with science fair projects, I have found that contacting a subject expert can be invaluable. You can get information that will help you do your project that isn't published in any paper:

Also, contact your local zoo, veterinarian, and pet shop and ask for assistance. I'm sure the information you need exists.

What are you doing for your project?
