Milk into Plastic

My third grade son selected turning Milk into Plastic for his Science Fair. I have found all kinds of information on how to do it. My question is how would I word the Problem/Question portion of the project? We want to keep it pretty simple. The only thing I've really came up with is "Can milk be turned into plastic?" It's been years since I've used the scientific method. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I am still the mom who knows everything in his eyes. Thank you

Hi Ahopper,

This experiment sounds interesting. The title of your experiment would depend on the variables you are testing. For example, if time is an important factor in the experiment, then you might want your question to be "how long does it take to turn milk into plastic?" Or maybe if you need to add a specific substance to the milk in order for it to turn to plastic, your question could be "how much of substance xyz do you need in order to turn milk into plastic?"
