For my science project, I'm comparing placebo "energy drinks" to energy drinks to water in athletic performance and I need some keywords to guide my research. Right now, all I have is:

anabolic steroids

psychological
caffeine
These might give you some additional perspectives on how human physical performance can be increased. The human body/mind is a lot more complex than we understand and there's more to performance than just putting some good fuel into the tank. Good luck.
