Decrease H2 pressure

Post by trychandararith »

I'm currently working on a science project, in which I want to reduce the boiling point of water. I'm thinking of creating a tank filled with low pressure. Any idea of how to reduce hydrogen pressure or gas pressure?

trychandararith - Not sure of what you are trying to accomplish in this experiment. One can pull a sufficient vacuum on a vessel of water and it will boil at room temperature. Or, you can put it into a pressure vessel, under pressure, and increase the boiling point to many hundreds of degrees F. Most people use the limiting temperature of boiling water at sea level pressure, 212 F, to simply heat something. Food for consumption, to kill bacteria, to soften or melt something. Reducing the boiling point substantially prevents these common uses. What use do you envision that is enabled by low temperature boiling water? Can you share?
