- Project Question: The goal of this science project is to compare a protein's amino acid sequence in a couple of animals to infer how closely related they are to one another. But for his project I need an old evolutionary tree that was made before 1995. It says to find an online textook of some sort that was made before 1995 but I have been trying and I can't find one. So could you please help me locate a pre- 1995 evolutionary tree.

Re: The Tree of Life II
A little more information on your project might be helpful here. I don't understand why the evolutionary tree you use has to be from before 1995. Wouldn't it make more sense to use the most up to date version? Also, what animals are you planning to compare? It would take a lot of detail to put every animal on an evolutionary tree, so many of them only cover certain areas in detail. Regardless, if you definitely need the pre-1995 evolutionary tree from an old textbook online, I recommend searching on Google Books. When I went to Google Books and searched specifically for evolutionary tree, a number of books came up, with at least one from 1975, so you may be able to search through those and find what you were looking for.
I hope this helps and please feel free to post more information in this thread so we can help you further!
