I am helping my son with a science buddies experiment entitled, "One Bad Apple". In the materials, it requires a 2% iodine solution and a 2% potassium iodide solution. In the procedure, it just says to mix 120 ml of the iodine solution with 425 ml water. What do you do with the potassium iodide?

Hi, I am not sure the answer... i suspect only one solution is needed and you could use either but since I am not SURE, I asked in the Expert forum for the author to check the protocol and reply to us here.

Sorry about that delay...
