The purpose of my science fair project is to see if yeast will reproduce using sugar substitutes but I do not know how to collect carbon dioxide.

Hi,

Here is a Scibuddies project that also collects CO2 from yeast and shows the apparatus used to trap the gas and measure its volume: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p012.shtml

Be sure to follow the instructions carefully to avoid leaks. If you have any questions about the setup or about your project, please let us know.

Good luck!

Please let us know how the carbon dioxide apparatus works for you! It is one of the best ones I have seen throughout the internet.
Best of luck!
