Using a Laser to Measure the Speed of Light in Gelatin HELP

Hi I am an 8th grader starting My Science project and I have been thinking for 1 week for a testable question/research question but I cant seem to get the right one I also need help on a good hypothesis and I wrote one but it seems like i have worked on the hypothesis for 2 minutes. Please help my testable question which will hopefully help my hypothesis writing.

Science Buddies projects include estimates of the completion time. The “speed of light in gelatin” project described at the following link should take 6-10 days to finish.

Of course you may need more or less time depending on how many hours per day you can spend working on your project.
