how do i prove that 1 horsepower=746watts :?: I have tried other sources but in vain. Please help, thanks in advance.

Those are simply units of measurement. Recall that power is a measure of the rate of transfer of work and energy (look up work-energy theorem if you need help on this part). You don't really need to prove it since you are basically saying how do I prove that 1 in = 2.54 cm.
