I got a project today, and need to present tomorrow. My title is : "The effect of intermediate stability on the final products of hydrohalogenation reaction of alkenes and dehydrohalogenation of haloalkanes"
I dont have any ideas about this. Please bring me a starter

Re: Intermediate Stability
Hello zaidulariff,
That's quite a project title! Is this for a high school science project?
I'm not sure of the question that you're asking but hydrohalogenation of alkenes is well-known and you should be able to find numerous references in addition to the links I've included below. Depending on reaction conditions the intermediate can be a carbocation or a free radical. The type of intermediate determines where the halogen will add to the alkene.

I hope this helps. Please post again if you have more questions.
