The current project that i'm undergoing requires me to know what makes up a platelet, but during my research i have been able to gleam what a platelet is, where it is found, what it does, and how it interacts. But still no information about what makes up a platelet. it will be useful to know this detail of platelet.

Hi abuk,

Google is your friend. I found a few sites you might want to read:

http://www.ouhsc.edu/platelets/Platelet ... intro.html
http://www.nursingtimes.net/blood-cells ... 69.article

Basically they are cells with no nucleus and are produced by megakaryocytes in the bone marrow. They use protein structures to establish their specific shape.
