in what way can forest fires affect the lithosphere?

Re: weathering and erosion
This is a really broad topic. Have you done some online searching and reading to narrow it down to something more specific? What do you mean by 'lithosphere'? To me it means the rocky crust of the earth. Are you thinking about the effects of forest destruction on soil erosion? There is no question that plants help to hold the soil in place and prevent erosion. Flash floods and mud slides can occur in places where fire has destroyed the vegetation. Water from flash floods can erode the rocks of the lithosphere but this takes thousands of years.
