Hi fellow scientists,
I'm a student all the way from Sweden. I'm currently studying at "gymnasie" level - which equals to high school/college. Since this is my last year, I'm supposed to do a project about whatever I choose to do. Me and my friend discovered this site and became very intrested in one specific project idea. The project idea is called "How Do Bacteria Produce Power in a Microbial Fuel Cell?" and the page can be found here https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p032.shtml. This experiment/project requires a lot of hard work and time dedication, which we are willing to give. However we have two main questions, as following:
1. Is it possible to acquire the project kit in Sweden? Like a re-seller or exceptional shipping?
2. How is the Microbial Fuel Cell built up? What does it consist of? The components and if it's possible to replicate one at a school lab?
We would be forever greatful if anyone could help us out with those questions.
Take care - Regards
Johan

Hi There!
Welcome to Science Buddies.
I did a search on fuel cell kits, and it looks like this website does ship to Sweden. http://www.mudwatt.com/
I also did a google search for making your own fuel cell kit and came up with a few websites
http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Mic ... Cell-easy/
http://www.engr.psu.edu/ce/enve/logan/b ... e_cell.htm
http://www.treehugger.com/slideshows/ga ... fuel-cell/
Some of these seem like they might be easy to set up with some normal household/easily found items.
Keep us posted on how things go and of course if you have additional questions. Good luck with your project.
