Need Science Fair Project Question,

My 8 year old son is doing the building beaches science project. His school denied him doing this project because they said it couldn't be controlled. I need help rephrasing his question. His orginal question for this project was What affects a beaches formation. Can you please assist us in better phrasing this question.

It may be better to be more specific in the question. The building beaches project (https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ml#summary) has to do with how waves change the shape of the beach. The project also asks the student to consider what kind of sand or rocks make up the beach. Your son should work on adding these parts of the project to his question to make it clear what he will be testing.
