Rainbow Fire Experiment - Outline Problem, Help is Needed!

Hello! I am currently doing the "Rainbow Fire" experiment, and I am having trouble trying to come up with a thesis (thus the outline). My question/problem is: "Do metals from the same group on the periodic emit a similar or same color of light?"

I have to do a research paper on this, but the only thing I really need help on is to create a thesis for my outline (which should consist of 3 main points along with 3 subpoints for each). I am absolutely not asking for someone to give me information of what my essay should be, but just ideas that could include 3 main points (I'm only asking for a good thesis that is possible to be split into 3 organizational points).

Hi,
After you have done some research, take a look at the project guide tab and look into creating a hypothesis . What are your variables? Why are elements arranged the way they are in the periodic table? What makes the different colors of light?

Once you start getting a better idea on how all this comes together, you can start building a hypothesis. Your thesis statements will then outline your hypothesis.
