Hi!
I'm working on a science fair project and i'm conducting a experiment to determine which skin moisturizer is best for dry skin. I'm using jell-o to represent skin. Should the jell-o be kept in room temperature or should it be kept in the refrigerator?

Re: Skin moisturizer
Hello odalisacosta,
That's a good question! I looked at the procedures for this science buddies project:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... #procedure
It clearly says to put the petri dishes in the frig to set the Jell-O, but I don't see that the procedures talk about putting the dishes back in the frig once you've added the moisturizer. I wonder if the Jell-O will melt if left out at room temperature?
Maybe some of the more expert experts on this forum can answer this question!
Alternatively, you could do a mini-experiment! Make up a small batch of Jell-O, following the procedures. Put it in a petri dish (or two), and put it in the frig until it sets. Then take the dishes out of the frig and leave the dishes at room temperature to see if the Jell-O stays firm. Let us know what you discover!
