Experiments also have controlled variables. Controlled variables are quantities that a scientist wants to remain constant, and he must observe them as carefully as the dependent variables.
As you read the procedure, there are steps with specific instructions. Look for places where it asks for specific amounts of given substances. If the experiment does not call for these to change, they will be control variables. For example, the number of batteries used does not change, so the voltage is a control.
