the hypothesis: does the quantity of oysters in a two gallon tank effect the quality of water? does it speed up the cleansing process?

I am looking for articles that i can reference on oysters' affect on the quality of water, if anyone knows any that are easy to read and comprehend, or a site where i can find articles like that, please do not hesitate to reply

Hello and thank you for your question,

This is certainly an interesting topic! There are several studies that have been done on this. I did a search on Google, and came up with a few sites that might be of interest to you:

http://chesapeakebay.noaa.gov/oysters/oyster-reefs

http://www.ecsga.org/Pages/Sustainabili ... nefits.htm

The second link has references to some articles, although the hyperlinks don't seem to work anymore. However, you can find the articles they reference by searching the author/journal or the title that it lists. The websites give a nice overview of what oysters naturally do in water sources.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have further questions.
