hi tena!

displacement method is usually used in measuring the volume of objects having irregular shapes!

hoped it helped.

Measuring the Volume of a Balloon

Post by deleted-2131 »

Karen,

Just in case you aren't sure what the displacement method is, the first thing is to get to buckets (one should be able to fit inside the other with 5-7 cm to spare) Then, stacl the buckets so that the small one is inside the larger one. Then, fill up the small bucket to the brim with water. Fill it as full as possible, as this will give more accurate results. Then, submerge the balloon in the water. Collect the water that spills out of the small bucket with the large bucket. Then, measure the volume of the water the the balloon spilled out of the bucket. It's that easy!
All the best,
Terik
