Rainbow Fire - Data w/ Tables and Graphs

Post by deleted-306475 »

Hello I have finished the Rainbow Fire experiment and I think it was awesome!

I was just wondering, for my science fair, how would I express my data into a table and a graph???
All I have done is just the experiment (dissolved the chemical salts in methanol and bombarded it with blaze to observe the colors emitted...) and I am not sure how to convert it into a table or a graph.

May someone please help me? I am limited on this experiment since I only bought a little bit of each salt :(

Thanks!

Congratulations on completing the experiment!

There is a lot of great information in the science buddies project guide (under "Data Analysis and Graphs") at the following link:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ndex.shtml

Since you were using several different chemicals and observing the color of the flame for each chemical, you can construct a table that lists each chemical in one column and the color of the flame observed for each in another column. If you did more than one trial for each chemical, then you should include the flame color for each trial so you can show if your results were consistent.

You should also think about what your hypothesis was, and whether your table is helpful in determining if your hypothesis was correct or not.

Let us know if you have more any more questions.
