Good evening. Hope your week is going well, and that you've had a bit of time to breathe and take a break!

This is a really great question, and I am so glad you brought it up. I am only going to state what is scientifically able to be proven. However, your opinion might differ--and that is great! Critical thinking is the most important thing to bear in mind with Nibiru. I am only going to touch upon a point or two of evidence so you can do more research yourself.

Many people do believe that it exists. However, according to many experts (including NASA) Nibiru is NOT a planet, and doesn't exist. I am curious if your question spawns from the book Twelfth Planet written by Sitchin. I would heartily advocate picking it up at your local library. Very interesting material. So, let's say today we had been told that on the 1st of January 2016 our planet was going to end due to a collision with Nibiru. What do we know that could tell us right away if this information was right or wrong? The sky, right? If you have one planet about to collide with a second planet you would see it up in the sky coming for us. Our doom would be getting closer, and closer, and closer (and bigger, and bigger, and bigger as a result). In other words...we would know. Back in 2012 when Nibiru was "going to collide" with Earth, do you remember seeing anything like this up in the sky?

The other point I would make is that to even be a planet you need to abide by three things: First, it must orbit the Sun. Second, it HAS to be big enough for gravity to squash it into a round ball. Last, it must have cleared other objects out of the way in their orbital area. Let's look a tad deeper at the number three requirement. Nibiru has a reported orbit of 35 or 36 hundred years to get around the sun. Moving this slow, wouldn't everything be aware of it's existence? It would be a virtual ant versus Ferrari race around the sun. And worse news than that, as it moved it would alter all of our planets just due to its SUPER heavy gravitational pull. So using this information and knowing the semi-predictability of things up in our sky (so much so that we can track everything), we can say that no, Nibiru does not exist.

Hope this gets you started. Please feel free to contact us again if other questions come up!

Kellsijo98,

Are your questions related to a K-12 science fair project? If so, what is the hypothesis you are trying to test? If you question is not related to a K-12 science fair project, then a different set of online forums would be a better place to ask your questions.
All the best,
Terik
