The other day, I was thinking about black holes. How could something that can bend light get created? I made a theory, think about particles going almost the speed of light. Then smashing into each other. The molecules are getting smashed between molecules and when the objects are filled they are still colliding with each other into nothingness. Then a piece of larger matter hitting the particles(dark matter with attributes that cause the black hole) and suddenly, gravity comes into affect, gas is pulled in, and a atmosphere pulls to the center, finishing the black hole. Any idea If this could be right?
And any ideas for black hole science experiments? P.S I'm in 5th grade.

Hi,
This is a bit off topic but I share your fascination with black holes so I'll reply. Normally we are encouraged to ask everyone to keep questions in this forum to active projects.
All matter warps space, and since light travels in space it bends. See light bending by the sun:

There are pretty good mathematical models on how black holes are created, and now there are measurements that provide confirmation.
Keep on wondering and learning about our wonderful universe.
There are some crowd sourced science project that you can participate in. I don't know of any that have to do with black holes but I know there is one that has to do with identifying dark matter through gravitational lensing.
cheers,

Re: Blackholes
Ok, thanks! I made this theory after seeing some machine from a college. It smashes particles to create new substances, and is rumored to eventually create a black hole.
