Hi caltenPIE4,

We'll address both of your questions in one post since they seem to be related. Here's the link to your first one: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=15464...

which asks whether you should do salivary testing for testoserone or cortisol. it really depends on why you are doing salivary tests in the first place. Are you experiencing things usually caused by higher/lower levels of cortisol in your body or testosterone? Higher levels of cortisol do tend to result in lower levels of testosterone, so measuring the one might suggest the other. If you're worried about your hormonal levels you might want to visit a doctor who can send samples of your saliva to a lab that does ELISA (they usually just use antigens, antibody bound enzymes, and substrates to produce a flourescent output that can be quantified using a spectrophotometer) testing or conducts Western Blot procedures (usually the cheaper option). Sometimes labs can charge you for ELISA and add on Western Blot for free to verify your results. Is this just a science experiment you're doing at home? Are you just wondering which one is easier to test? In that case there are some take at home salivary testing kits for cortisol available that are relatively cheap. To warn you, salivary testing isn't very cheap in the first place. Here's an example of a nice kit from ZRT laboratory that you might want to check out: http://www.amazon.com/4-Panel-Cortisol- ... op?ie=UTF8...Are you trying to develop a cheaper way to conduct salivary tests? A more clarified question will lead to more helpful answers!

If we didn't quite understand your question please restate it more clearly below :D

Good luck!
