I am designing and building a rocket-powered drag racer with a 100 foot long track. Can anyone recommend me any links to get me started? So far I have found no research.

Well, you can buy a one here for not much money:

I think that safety would be a major concern with any home-designed rocket dragster. When you launch a rocket upwards, mostly you just have to worry about it falling on you as long as the design is even vaguely reasonable.

When launched horiztonally, though, control and aerodynamic stability becomes a major concern.
