Hi,
We are doing a variation of this for a science fair project. We were wondering, what would be another microorganism we could use beside yeast to examine the affect of x-ray radiation on it. Preferably we would like something that could be in a petri dish and can be examined by growth in a petri dish.
Thanks,
Halee

Hi, a commonly used bacteria in the lab is E. coli. I think this would be appropriate for your study, since you would use similar protective measures as you would for yeast.
