Nitrogen gas
Does nitrogen gas float or rises? Is nitrogen gas heavier than air?

Re: Nitrogen gas
Hi Jcwarrior17,
Is this question related to a K-12 science fair project? If so, what is the hypothesis you are trying to test?
Air is mostly nitrogen (~78% nitrogen; 21% oxygen and 1% other gases). However, pure nitrogen gas is slightly less dense than air (as long as both are at the same temperature). A Google search for "is nitrogen gas heavier than air" will lead you to additional information.

All the best,
