help with electrolyte challenge!!!

Post by deleted-342250 »

hello, I'm doing the electrolyte challenge for my science fair project however, I wasn't able to find the 24 gauge copper wire so i was wondering if it's okay to substitute it for a 22 gauge copper wire. will using a copper wire of a different gauge affect my project?

Hello saher_01,

The 22 gauge bare copper wire should be OK. It’s slightly thicker than the recommended 24 gauge. Just be sure to wrap the wire tightly around the drinking straw when you make your conductance sensor as described in the project procedure.

I hope this helps and good luck with your project. Please post again if you have more questions.
