Water taking too long to evaporate!

Post by deleted-345682 »

I am doing the How Salty is the Sea experiment. It says to put the jars in the over at 200 for "a few hours." It has been 9 hours and they have only gone down about 3/4 of an inch! HOW CAN I SAFELY SPEED UP THE PROCESS? Can I turn the heat higher without the glass breaking and if yes, how high?

The project is due tomorrow- I had planned for plenty of time based upon the "few hours" in the description.

Hi,

This is a really great project; I apologize that the time estimate was not correct.

I will report the problem and request a review for this project, so the next researcher will not have the same problem.

If you were not able to complete your project, ask your teacher for a time extension, or if you turned in an incomplete project, go ahead and revise it and turn it in with results. You will learn a lot.
