Need Guidance :?

Post by deleted-261686 »

I am doing the "Using the Solar & Heliospheric Observatory Satellite (SOHO) to Measure the Motion of a Coronal Mass Ejection" project and I need guidance on how I should respond if the judges ask what my ultimate goal was or how this might contribute to scientific research going on today.

Thanks,
Natasha

Hi Natasha ,

The goal of this project is to use images from the SOHO to estimate the velocity and acceleration of coronal mass ejections. You may have a goal for what you want to accomplish with this project as well. For example, you might be interested in learning more about the solar system. You might want to consider why you chose this project and how it fits with your interests in order to define your own goal.

You might consider some background reading aimed at finding out how information about coronal mass ejection is relates to current research. Some information is provided in the background section of the project procedure. And the references in the background section will have much more detail

I hope this helps. Please post again if you have more questions.
