solar project help

Post by skbisla »

hi, well i am doing a science project on connecting solar panels to a scooters battery and i had a question.
so my solar panels current is less than the current that i need for my scooters battery, my question is :
could i still charge the battery even though the current is less? would it take longer?

Others will know more about this than me. My guess is that you will be able to recharge the battery, but it will take longer, maybe a lot longer. What current do you need for the battery, and what current does your solar cell produce?

for the battery i need a current of 150 amps and my solar panels can only produce up to 50 amps.
