BPA Tests
I was wondering if anyone knew a fail-proof, at home way to detect BPA in plastics. I am working on a project that requires me to test for it, but I don't have access to a mass spectrometer (the most commonly used way to detect BPA). Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: BPA Tests
Hi,
I did a search and found a site that describes a method for detecting BPA in baby bottles, water bottles, etc. but I have never tried it and don't know how sensitive or accurate it is: http://www.home-health-chemistry.com/Bi ... ction.html
If you do try it, please let us know how it works out so we can use that information for others who might also want to assay for BPA.
