I'm in Year 10 and for science fair I am doing a project working out if lemons are actually the best fruit/vegetable to use to create batteries. To do this I need to measure the acidity of the fruits and vegetables I test, does anyone have any ideas on what I can use, or how I would go about doing this? (and preferably things that I would easily be able to get my hands on, maybe in shops or at school)
Thanks

Re: Measuring Acidity
Hello lhayvi,
You could use a pH meter or pH indicator strips to measure the acidity of your fruit and vegetable samples. The pH meter is more accurate and more expensive than the pH strips.
One type of pH indicator that should work for your project is available here:

And if you want to use a pH meter, an inexpensive, hand-held one is available here:

One suggestion for making the pH tests is to make juice from the fruit and vegetable samples. Then use the indicator strips or pH meter to make the pH measurement.
I hope this helps. Please ask again if you have more questions.
