power on or off

Post by skbisla »

hi, so as you may know, i am doing an experiment in which i am charging a scooter with solar panels. In the manual it says that when you are charging the scooter with the normal charger, you are supposed to switch the scooter to the off position. would it make a difference in the charging when im using the solar panels to charge wether it is in the off position or not?
please, i need your help asap, whomever is reading this, my project is due very soon. i will be very grateful to you.

Well, that would depend on the scooter, but generally it's a good idea to charge things when they are off, yes.

Solar panels generate very low currents, so if the scooter is on it's likely to be using up power faster than the solar panels are recharging it (unless you have a whole lot of them, that is :-).
