i have the final result for Tawa-tawa research

Post by jimeug2001 »

I did this study ever since my kabarangays use it for mild to severe fever. And to be exact,at the latter part of year 2004.I found it very interesting to perform this study on my own.And this plant reserves the next to be called--the new discovered wonder plant.
I'm halfway of my research and almost done with its botanical and taxomic description including its scientific name.Picture of tawa-tawa is available via request if someone wants to see it.

hi!

im a student of RSHS, and were trying to accomplish a research study of what so called the tawa-tawa plant.. we hear claims about it for curing Dengue..
and now were assuming that instead of testing it on humans why not test it on rats..
hoping to have better results, were planning to observe the rats and defy if there's an increase in their platelets.. then it will be a nice stepping stone for further researches involving human..
we are making this experiment to have a better explanation on how the plant works..because there were only claims about it.. and besides DOH doesn't have a cure for Dengue patients but instead it has preventions in doing it..
i am asking for some advices to help us in what to do or how to take this plant for decoction in rats..specifically white mice..by the way our title is: "tawa-tawa plant used to increase blood platelets on white mice"
tnx..
hope to recieve your advices and concerns..
tnx..
again..

Hello kat[oracle37].. :D
Are you the guys from UV? I'v heard in its already done (the experiment on mice) in UV.

I'm also very interested in the plant. I study in ADMU. Although still starting, exchange of information could really hasten my research.
Do any of you guys happen to know the most advanced published research pertaining this plant with regards to dengue?

TAwa Tawa for Dengue

Post by asiasis »

I have Tawa Tawa Herbal Powder, which you take as tea. My husband drinks it everyday. It's from Kidapawan in Cotabato. If you need let me know. I don't know the scientific name, but I remember coming accross it in one of Dr. Quisimbing wrote on the different kinds of HERBAL medicines. Ubfortunately, my friend who owns the book left for France.
In the Visayas, everybody drinks this for fever and dengue.
