Thanks for your question and welcome to the forum. The basic concept of this project is to explore the relationship between electricity and magnetism. Check out the link below to help with your research.

The Hall Effect sensor produces a measurable voltage as a result of an electric current created in response to the magnetic field from the magnet. If you build the electromagnet, you will create a magnetic field from an electric current. Basically the same process in reverse.
