Science Fair Project- Wind Turbine Motor
Hi, so i'm in grade 11 and we have to do a science fair project outside our curriculum. My dad suggested that I should try and do a project on the New Wind Turbines being build in South Africa,Northen Cape, Loeriesfontein. I told my teacher about this and she said that it is already something that has been done and that i should build a motor on the inside of the turbine to show the class how it works. I would like it if you could give me some suggestions on this project and how i can eleborate on it in addition to get good marks, cause i really need it.

The wind turbine you referenced is an electric generator that converts motion from the wind into electricity. Electricity is generated when a coil of wire moves inside a stationary magnetic field provided by permanent magnets. In an electric motor, the electrical current causes a coil of wire to move inside a magnetic field. So, electric motors and generators can have some common components but generators produce electricity from motion while motors produce motion from electricity.
