An environmental scientist is someone who studies the environment around us. There really isn't a defined difficult thing an environmental scientist has to work with since each person has their own opinion of what's hard and what's not. Likewise, environmental scientists can work in different fields of occupation such as being an educator or working for the government. Whatever it is, environmental scientists require a lot of knowledge of the different fields of science like chemistry and physics, but also need to know history and several other courses. But to answer your question, an environmental scientists is like any other occupation in the sense that getting there is hard, but getting pass the point where you become educated in the respected field makes it easier.

hope this helps! :D
