Compress gas into solid?

If you get enough pressure could you possibly compress the molocues closer to make a gas into a sold

Hi Jdog1864,
The short answer is yes. You may want to google the term "Phase Diagram" for the particular material that you want to compress. With most material, there's a transition to the liquid phase before going into the solid phase.
