Hello,
I recently purchased a sugar metabolism kit from science buddies, that allowed me to test glucose concentrations in different foods. when I tested it on Organic Strawberry yogurt, there was no change in glucose before and after invertase was added, it was 1%. What does this mean?
Also for whole and low fat milk glucose concentration was negative before and after the invertase enzyme was added.
Can you please explain why I am getting these results for milk and yogurt?

Re: Question about activity of Invertase Enzyme
Hi sasa16,
It is my understanding that this kit only measures glucose.
Milk contains lactose, which is glucose and galactose crosslinked, so the kit most likely won't measure glucose concentration.
As to the yogurt, did the list of contents list sucrose or glucose?
